The Ford Motor Company made a great thing even better, when in April of 1968 they added the 428 Cobra Jet motor to the GT500 - distinguishing the car with two letter, 'KR', standing for "King of the Road". In 2008, in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the original King of the Road, Ford released the 540 hp, much sought after, retro designed Shelby GT500KR. With spring in the air, and up for a road race-like challenge, these two Shelby GT500KR drivers take to the open road on their favorite hill climb. Clear asphalt can still turn to snow and ice as the elevation increases.
